Ontology

In the Resources section of this Site Map we have included our version of an Ontology, which lists many of the resources that we are using to develop this new technology. We refer to this technology as Multiple Perspective Modeling using the acronym MPM.

In keeping with our "newness" theme we have removed all references to our previous modeling efforts. At this point these serve no useful purpose.

Although MPM can be used to model any complex system, we have chosen to focus our efforts on creating a model of the human biosystem including its multiple subsystems. Our goal is to provide a methodology that can reveal how problems arise in the human biosystem. Once that understanding is reached, recommending therapies to mitigate or eliminate those problems becomes a much more informed process.

We consider this project a twofold process. The initial requirement is to develop the requisite modeling techniques; the second is to apply them to solving problems related to the human biosystem. Therefore the initial relaese of the Ontology is heavy on the collections that will serve this process. These include systems science, mathematics, computer science, information science, and engineering.

The twofold process just mentioned in the last paragraph forms a positive feedback loop; the first process is necessarily informed by the second. Thus we have included a number of resources in our studies related to the natural sciences, biosystems, the human biosystem, and the social sciences.

To help the reader prioritze their own study of this version of the Ontology, we have included a Study Plan indicating what we believe are the resources that deserve initial consideration. The most important ones are highlightesd, red identifying a higher priority than yellow
